Wildlife Wednesday- Giant Silk Moth

A Hyalophora Cecropia moth visited our front door yesterday. One of North America’s largest moths, it’s a member of the the family Saturniidae, or giant silk moths.

You can see the size difference between the Cecropia moth and the other moths. Females wings spans can range from 5″-7″!
